The Panel Texture Crew is finished with a 2×2 rib on cuffs, hem and collar. The yarn is a 2/15’s Merino Lambswool / cotton blend and it is knitted in a 7 gauge, meaning it is a good mid / transitional weight and handle. It is knitted using a combination of blocks of different colour and texture across the piece. It has saddle shoulders, with a block of the lightest colour running from the collar, down the upper sleeve to the cuff in a plain single jersey stitch. The under sleeve and body is then split into an upper section in the mid shade, and a lower section in the darker shade, which is in a 1×1 rib.
“Cathal McAteer set up Folk Clothing back in 2001, and today the brand are known for their simple and everyday menswear and womenswear lines, which combine a subtle nod to architectural tropes with a streetwear aesthetic. Folk clothing is effortlessly wearable and made to last, realised in relevant colourways and silhouettes that will stand the test of time. Earthy and enriching tones often make up the collections, which extend from staples, such as t-shirts and socks, to outerwear and accessories. Folk Clothing has a handful of stores across London, including in Holborn and Shoreditch, but are also stocked in selected multi-brand stores who share their appreciation for a minimalist-meets-functional aesthetic.
